LIVESTOCK ENTRY DEADLINE IS AUGUST 18, 2023

All entries for The Panhandle-South Plains Fair are required to abide by the rules set forth in our annual Livestock Premium Book. The complete rules and regulations for each livestock department division are included in our Livestock Premium Book 2023.

JUNIOR LIVESTOCK

A $15 processing fee will be added to each 4H Club and FFA Chapter.

Arrival: Goats arrival is on Friday, 9/22 from 12pm until 6pm.
Judging: 9am on Saturday, 9/23.
Release: All Market Goats must be out of the barns by 8am on Sunday, 9/24.

Arrival: Steer arrival is on Thursday, 9/28 from 8am until 6pm.
Judging: 11am on Saturday, 9/30 (following the conclusion of the heifer show).
Release: Steers will be released on Saturday, 9/30 after their class has been judged.
Arrival: Heifers should arrive before 6pm, Thursday, 9/28.
Judging: 8am on Saturday, 9/30.
Release: Heifers will be released on Saturday, 9/30 after their class has been judged.
Arrival: Thursday, 9/28 from 5pm to 8pm and Friday, 9/29 from 8am to 4pm.
Judging: Lambs will be classified and judged on Saturday, 9/30 beginning at 8am.
Release: Lambs will be released on Saturday, 9/30 after their class has been judged.

OPEN LIVESTOCK

Arrival: 2pm to 6pm Friday, 9/22 and until 11am on Saturday, 9/23.
Judging: 9am on Sunday, 9/24 in premium book order.
Release: Sunday, 9/24 after judging.
A $15 processing fee will be added to each exhibitor.
Arrival: Begins Monday, 9/25 at 8am and must be in place by 3pm.
Judging: Tuesday, 9/26 at 9am.
Release: Following show on Tuesday, 9/26. Must be out by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, 9/27.

Arrival: Sheep must be in place by 12 noon on Tuesday, 9/26.
Judging: 9am on Wednesday, 9/27 in premium book order.
Release: After show on Wednesday, 9/27.

SHORTHORN

Arrival: Cattle must be in place by 12 noon on Saturday, 9/23.
Judging: 10am on Monday, 9/25.
Release: Breeds will be released after judging is complete for each show.

LIMOUSIN

Arrival: Cattle must be in place by 12 noon on Saturday, 9/23.
Judging: 10am on Monday, 9/25.
Release: Breeds will be released after judging is complete for each show.

ANGUS

Arrival: Cattle must be in place by 12 noon on Saturday, 9/23.
Judging: 10am on Monday, 9/25.
Release: Breeds will be released after judging is complete for each show.

HEREFORD

Arrival: Cattle must be in place by 12 noon on Saturday, 9/23.
Judging: 10am on Monday, 9/25.
Release: Breeds will be released after judging is complete for each show.

ALL OTHER REGISTERED BREEDS

Arrival: Cattle must be in place by 12 noon on Saturday, 9/23.
Judging: 10am on Monday, 9/25.

DAIRY CATTLE


ALL BREEDS

Open and Junior classes will be judged simultaneously, see premium book for details.

Arrival: Cattle will be accepted until 6pm on Saturday, 9/23.
Judging: 8am on Monday, 9/25.
Release: Monday, 9/25 after judging.

A $15 processing fee will be added to each exhibitor.


PIGEONS & POULTRY

ALL VARIETY PIGEON SHOW

Judging: Begins at 9am on Saturday, 9/23.
Release: Promptly after judging on Saturday, 9/23.

Late entries will not be accepted. Entry fees are $2.00 per bird.

Release: For exhibitors living 75 miles or more, 6pm on Sunday, 9/24. All others 9pm on Monday, 9/25.

No late entries will be accepted. Entry fees are $1.00 for a single rabbit and meat pen classes.
