SPECIAL RULES

  1. All entries and awards in this department shall be subject to the General Rules and Regulations published in the front of this catalog.
  2. Entries close in this division Friday, August 13, 2010. Entry fee: $25.00 per animal for all breeds. Late entries will be accepted until Labor Day for an additional $15.00 per head.
  3. Exhibitors who exhibit 3 or less head of stock will be mailed 2 season passes and 1 “Livestock Pass Gate" (located on Ave A) parking pass; those exhibiting 4 head or more, 4 season passes and 2 ““Livestock Pass Gate" (located on Ave A) parking passes; and those exhibiting 8 head or more, 6 season passes and 4 ““Livestock Pass Gate" (located on Ave A) parking passes.
  4. Arrival and Release Times: Limousin and Shorthorn Cattle must be in place by 12 noon on Saturday 9/25. Angus, Hereford, and All Other Registered Breeds must be Cattle must be in place by 6:00 p.m. Sunday 9/26. Registration papers will be checked at the discretion of the show Superintendents. Release Times: Breeds will be released after judging is complete for each show.
  5. Cattle may not be tied out before 8:00 p.m. Tie out space is limited and is located behind the shop southeast of the cattle barn and north and east of the Pavilion.
  6. Shavings are used for bedding in the beef cattle barn. No straw is allowed. Violators will be disqualified and premium money withheld.
  7. Only two premiums per exhibitor per class will be allowed.

PREMIUM SCALE


    The Fair Association will pay the following premiums and award ribbons, rosettes, and banners as listed in the Angus, Shorthorn,
    Hereford, Limousin, and All Other Registered Breed Shows. Breed Associations will not pay a percentage on premiums won.

    In each show, if less than 50 head are entered, all early and late classes may be combined at the discretion of Show Officials.

2010 Mega Pass

Mega Pass is Back

The Mega Pass will be $60 again this year. Sales begin Monday, August 3rd at 3PM! They will be available for purchase at the Fair Park Coliseum before Labor Day Monday - Friday 3PM - 6PM. After Labor Day the times will be Monday-Friday 12 Noon - 6PM and Saturdays 10AM - 4PM.

The last day to purchase a Mega Pass will be Saturday, September 19th from 10AM - 6PM. They will not be available after that day!

The Mega Pass is a pay-one-price picture ID that is good for a wristband for unlimited rides each day of the carnival operation: September 24th - October 3rd.

**Pony rides and other specialty rides may be exempted.**
