SPECIAL RULES
- Entry Deadline, September 13, 2010. Late entries will not be accepted.
Rules of the Texas Animal Health Commission shall apply. (Published in Livestock
special rules.) ALL ENTRIES NEED HEALTH PAPERS.
- Entry fees are $2.00 per bird. Make checks payable to Panhandle South
Plains Fair, and mail to Floyd Starkey, 1192 CR 186, Ralls, Texas 79357.
- Birds will be accepted on the Fair Grounds beginning at 6:00 p.m., Friday,
September 24 and must be cooped by 9:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25. Release
time for exhibitors living 75 miles or more, 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26.
All
other birds will be released at 9:00 p.m., Monday, September 27. Birds must be
out
by 10:00 p.m.
- Judging will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25.
- Substitutes will be permitted when they are the same breed, sex, class,
and variety.
- Exhibitors who enter 10 birds or less will receive one season pass.
Exhibitors who enter ten or more birds will receive two season admission passes
and
one season parking pass.
- ALL ENTRY BLANKS MUST SHOW BAND NUMBER, SEX,
COLOR, WHETHER BANTAM OR LARGE FOWL. ALL BIRDS MUST WEAR
A BAND NUMBER.
- NO sell birds.
- Management reserves all rights to return any entry deemed undesirable
or not filled out correctly.

The APA invites you to become a member. Annual dues are $10.00 for 1 year, $25.00
for 3 years, $25.00 for one year outside the U.S. and Canada; Junior Dues (for
those
18 and under) are $5.00 per year. Endowment Trust Life membership is $175.00.
All
Annual and Endowment Trust Life members receive our yearbook and are eligible
to earn points toward a Master Exhibitor Award. Every member is eligible for the
awards at this show. A minimum of 5 Master Exhibitor Award Points will be awarded
to any qualified win at this show.
AWARDS
An APA Certificate will be awarded for the following when ten (10) or more are judged:
Grand Champion & Reserve Champion Large Chicken Grand Champion & Reserve Champion Bantam
Grand Champion & Reserve Champion Duck
Grand Champion & Reserve Champion Goose
Grand Champion & Reserve Champion Turkey
An APA Medal will be awarded to the Champion in each of the following classes when (10) or more are judged in a class.
Large Chickens: American, Asiatic, English, Mediterranean, Continental, All Other Standard Breeds
Bantams: Modern Game, Old English, Single Comb Clean Legged, Rose Comb Clean Legged, All Other Comb Clean Legged, Feather Legged
Ducks: Heavy, Medium, Light, Bantam
Geese: Heavy, Medium, Light
Turkeys: All competing in one class
JUNIOR AWARDS
An APA Medal plus one (1) year Junior membership will be given for the following:
- Champion Large Chicken shown by a Junior;
- Champion Bantam shown by a Junior;
- Champion of Ducks, Geese & Turkeys combined that is shown by a Junior
Juniors need not be members to receive these awards.
All Judging will be by the latest edition of the American Standard of Perfection,
Copyrighted by the American Poultry Association, Inc. Application for membership may be made at the show or may be sent to the All American Poultry Association, but must be prior to the judging to be eligible
for the APA awards.

Plaque to Champion and Reserve Champion Bantam Pins for Champion and Reserve for all seven bantam divisions providing there are 25 birds competing. Pins for all starred wins in the show.
Only ABA members are eligible to compete for the above awards. Dues are $15.00 per year or $40.00 for 3 years. New members receive a copy of the quarterly and
the latest available copy of the Annual American Bantam Association Year Book which lists 900 advertisers and includes a complete breed and variety index. Winners
of ABA awards are listed in the year book under Who’s Who in Bantams. Starred wins are earned in classes of 100 or more in the following:
*Champions and Reserve Champions in the seven bantam divisions
*Best and Reserve of Breed and Variety
*Best Display when 7 or more bantam displys are shown
*Best and Reserve Display when 10 or more bantam displays are shown
*Best and Reserve Trio when 30 or more trios are shown by 4 or more exhibitors
A single bird is eligible for only one award and can earn only one starred win.

  2010 Mega Pass

Mega Pass is Back
The Mega Pass will be $60 again this year. Sales begin Monday, August 3rd at 3PM! They will be available for purchase at the Fair Park Coliseum before Labor Day Monday - Friday 3PM - 6PM. After Labor Day the times will be Monday-Friday 12 Noon - 6PM and Saturdays 10AM - 4PM.
The last day to purchase a Mega Pass will be Saturday, September 19th from 10AM - 6PM. They will not be available after that day!
The Mega Pass is a pay-one-price picture ID that is good for a wristband for unlimited rides each day of the carnival operation: September 24th - October 3rd.
**Pony rides and other specialty rides may be exempted.**
